New Video Blog...

Music is so powerful. I remember as a child, long before I gave my life to Christ, how huge of an impact music had on me. The lyric in songs had an unbelievable ability to dictate, not only my mood, but my outlook on life. It wasn't until I got my first Amy Grant record, yea, that's right, a record, that I began to allow that power to have a good impact on my life. I can honestly tell you I've never been the same.
That's just one of so many reasons I'm so passionate about what I do for New Life Media Network. Each song you hear on the air has been listen to many, many times, thought about and prayed over, long before you hear it a first time on the radio. We take this very seriously.
Have you ever heard a song, maybe even several times and thought "that was a nice song?" Then one day you hear it and, out of nowhere, it completely knocks you over? That's the power of music. There are songs that I like, but have never fallen in love with until one day they line up with something going on in my life. Then, I hear that song like I've never heard it before. Having a song that so well relates to what you're going through can be quite amazing. It's quite powerful. And, I don't want you to miss out any impact these songs can have on you or someone you know.
In fact, we want you to be on the inside. That's why I started this blog. That's why I feel it's time to take the blog to the next level. It blows my mind at how rapidly technology is always changing. In an effort to keep up with those changes and better serve you, I'm attempting a new Video Blog. This Video Blog will serve to keep you updated and knowledgeable about the music we play across New Life Media Network. My desire is for you to fully understand the impact these songs can have on individual lives and why I feel so passionately about getting them on the air.
Another way you can be on the inside is to join our Music Advisory Panel. Your input is very important to us and decisions are made regularly, based on the opinions you have. To join our Music Advisory Panel today. Click on your station for a direct link. Thanks!

Heaven Is the Face...

Well, I'll never forget the way I felt when I learned of the tragic accident that claimed the life of Steven Curtis Chapman's youngest daughter. I found myself immediately putting myself into Steven's shoes. Being a father of three, my heart ached for him and his family. I can't imagine what it must have been like to experience the loss of a child. I hope and pray I never get the opportunity to know first hand what that feels like.
Over the past year or so, I've been continually blown away by how the Chapmans have handled themselves through the grieving process. I've seen and heard first hand so many lives impacted and changed by the very way Steven and his family have responded. The encouragement they've offered just through being real. Even in the midst of not understand how a loving God could allow something like this to happen. Even through this time of intense grieving, they've never turned their backs on God. A lot of questions, sure. But, through it all, not turning their backs on Him.
Steven is about to release a brand new CD, "Beauty Will Rise" on November 3rd. This CD has such honesty and hope woven through the songs from start to finish. The opening track happens to be the first single to radio, "Heaven Is the Face." If you've lost a loved one, then the words in this song will be a real encouragement to you. I loved it from the first time I heard it. I'm convinced it will bless you as well. It is currently playing on your favorite Family Friendly radio station.
